1. Who are we?

KamooHub is a B2B digital platform for construction equipment rental, published and operated by Hinkaku SARL, a company established in Yaoundé, Cameroon. Contact email: kamoohub@hinkaku.tech

2. Data collected

Identification and account data

  • Full name, company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Password (hashed, never stored in plain text)
  • Profile photo (optional)

Identity verification data (KYC)

  • Copy of the national identity card
  • Trade and Personal Property Credit Register (RCCM) — operators only
  • Professional photo — operators only
  • Identity document numbers

Data relating to requests and contracts

  • Description of equipment needs
  • Locations and areas of operation
  • Prices and contractual terms
  • Electronic signature (image + identification hash)
  • Negotiation history

Payment data

  • Mobile Money or bank card payment information (processed by our payment provider; we do not store card numbers)

Technical data

  • Push notification token (FCM)
  • IP address, device type, application version
  • Activity logs

3. Purposes of processing

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage your user account
  • Verify your identity (KYC) in accordance with our legal and security obligations
  • Connect clients and operators
  • Generate and manage service contracts
  • Process payments
  • Send push notifications about your requests, offers and contracts
  • Prevent fraud and moderate exchanges (automatic detection of direct contact details)
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations

4. Legal basis for processing

  • Performance of the contract: processing necessary to provide KamooHub services (matching, contract management).
  • Legal obligations: KYC identity verification, contract archiving, OHADA compliance.
  • Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, platform security, service improvement.
  • Consent: sending marketing communications (can be turned off at any time).

5. Data sharing

Your data is never sold to third parties. It may be shared with:

  • The other contracting party: only after the contract has been validated by the KamooOps team (name, phone, email unlocked).
  • Our internal team (KamooOps): for KYC validation, dispute handling and contract supervision.
  • Service providers: Firebase (Google) for storage and notifications, Mobile Money payment providers (Orange Money, MTN MoMo), bank card processor.
  • Legal authorities: where required by law or a court decision.

6. International transfers

Your data is hosted on Google Firebase infrastructure (servers in Europe — europe-west1 region). Google LLC is subject to the European Union's standard contractual clauses, which guarantee an adequate level of protection.

7. Retention periods

  • Active account data: kept for the whole duration of your registration.
  • KYC documents: kept for 5 years after the last transaction, in accordance with Cameroonian legal obligations.
  • Contracts and contractual data: kept for 10 years in accordance with OHADA law (AUDC 2021).
  • Deleted account data: erased within 30 days, except for data required by law.
  • Notifications: deleted automatically 30 days after being read.

8. Your rights

Under applicable law, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access: obtain a copy of your personal data.
  • Right to rectification: correct inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure: request the deletion of your data (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Right to portability: receive your data in a structured format.
  • Right to object: object to processing on legitimate grounds.

9. Data security

We implement the following measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Granular Firestore access rules: each user can only read their own data
  • Contact details (phone, email) are never readable before OPS validation of the contract
  • Passwords are hashed (Firebase Authentication)
  • Firebase App Check (Play Integrity / DeviceCheck) to block access from outside the application
  • 2FA authentication for access to the internal Dashboard

10. Cookies and similar technologies

The KamooHub mobile application does not use cookies. The presentation website uses technical cookies necessary for it to work. See our Cookie Policy for more details.

11. Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to amend this policy. In the event of a substantial change, you will be notified through the application. Continued use of the services after notification constitutes acceptance.
